đź’¨ Abstract
The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) questioned Transport Minister Barbara Creecy regarding a security breach at OR Tambo International Airport. In July, a passenger boarded a flight to Ethiopia with training hand grenades in his luggage, which were only discovered upon arrival. Creecy emphasized that security lapses cannot be tolerated and has called for an investigation. Airports Company South Africa and its contractor were fined R2 million and R1.5 million, respectively.
