💨 Abstract
Zohran Mamdani, the mayor-elect of New York City, is the first South Asian, Muslim, and millennial to lead the city. Born in Uganda, he moved to Cape Town at age five, attending St. George’s Grammar School in Mowbray. His family later settled in New York City.
