💨 Abstract
Several fires broke out along the Devil’s Peak route on Table Mountain, prompting a multi-agency response. Alderman JP Smith suggested a suspected arsonist might be involved due to the rapid succession of blazes. No injuries or property damage were reported. A reward of up to R20,000 is offered for information leading to an arrest. SANParks is investigating the cause, and authorities warn of high fire risk due to dry vegetation.
