After a desperate search, a 52-year-old Bellville woman, Chantal Pelser, was found dead in a Cape Town guesthouse. She had been missing since May 25th, and the case sparked widespread concern. Police, tracing her card activity, discovered her body, with initial findings suggesting suicide. Concern about her wellbeing had been raised by family and non-profits due to her mental health. Official investigations and a post-mortem are ongoing.
