đź’¨ Abstract
A Finnish rower, Jari Saario, was rescued in the South Atlantic by South African Maritime Rescue authorities after his boat was damaged in a storm. Saario, attempting to row from Chile to Cape Town, was stranded about 3,000 kilometers southwest of South Africa. A Greek merchant ship, Cymona Eagle, diverted to rescue him. Saario, an experienced rower, was taken aboard in stable condition and is now heading to Cape Town.
