💨 Abstract
A rare celestial event, the Southern Lights (Aurora Australis), may be visible in South Africa this week due to a powerful solar flare. This natural light display, similar to the Northern Lights, occurs when charged particles from the Sun collide with Earth's magnetic field, causing gases in the upper atmosphere to glow in various colors, predominantly green and red.
