đź’¨ Abstract
Zimbabwean villagers near the Botswana border report significant losses due to Botswana's strict policy against stray cattle, which are seen as a biosecurity threat. Hundreds of cattle have been shot and burned, leaving families without livelihoods and food security. Botswana enforces strict animal health regulations to protect its beef export market, but the policy has devastated local communities in Plumtree, Zimbabwe. Villagers express shock and despair over the loss of their cattle and future prospects.
