đź’¨ Abstract
The Department of Water and Sanitation in South Africa has warned that My Own Dam (Senteeko Dam) in Mpumalanga is at risk of imminent failure due to severe structural damage. The dam, used for irrigation, has suffered advanced erosion and undercutting, making it unstable. Downstream communities have been instructed to evacuate immediately, and public access to the dam is prohibited. Emergency measures are in place, but the risk of failure remains high.
