South Africa's cricket team, the Proteas, were eliminated from the 2026 T20 World Cup after losing to New Zealand in the semi-final at Eden Gardens. New Zealand won the toss and chose to bowl first. South Africa scored 169/8 in their 20 overs, but New Zealand easily chased down the target, losing just one wicket in 12.5 overs.
