đź’¨ Abstract
Aphiwe Dyantyi, a promising Springbok rugby player, saw his career derailed by a four-year ban for taking banned substances. After a stellar debut season in 2018, including a standout performance against the All Blacks, Dyantyi tested positive for multiple prohibited drugs in 2019. He admitted to struggling with depression and losing his love for the game during his ban.
