Cape Town residents can enjoy free access to municipal nature reserves from 24–27 October 2025 as part of the Great Southern Bioblitz. The event encourages residents to record local wildlife using the iNaturalist app, competing to log the most species. Deputy Mayor Eddie Andrews invites residents to participate, highlighting Cape Town’s biodiversity. Free entry applies only to general access; fees remain for activities like picnicking.
