💨 Abstract
The Cape region in South Africa offers excellent stargazing opportunities due to its dark, isolated countryside. Recommended spots include the Karoo region and Cederberg, both of which have observatories and lodges for stargazing. The Karoo features the South African Astronomical Observatory in Sutherland, while Cederberg has the Cederberg Astronomical Observatory. For city stargazing, Table Mountain and Lion’s Head in Cape Town are popular.
