💨 Abstract
The South African passport has improved its ranking by two spots to 51st on the Henley & Partners Passport Index for 2025, but it now offers visa-free access to one fewer destination, with Kosovo requiring visas. The index, based on data from the International Air Transport Authority (IATA), ranks passports by the number of visa-free destinations they offer. South African passport holders can now travel to 101 destinations without a visa.
