A gunman, identified as Shane Tamura from Las Vegas, opened fire in a Manhattan skyscraper, killing four people, including a police officer, and critically injuring another. Tamura, who had a history of mental health issues, drove cross-country and committed suicide after the shooting. The incident occurred in a busy office district, prompting a significant police response. The building houses several prominent companies, including Blackstone and KPMG.
