💨 Abstract

Tens of thousands of UK energy customers have lodged complaints, with British Gas receiving the highest number, 48 per 100,000 customers, between October and December 2024. The Energy Ombudsman accepted around 3,600 complaints against British Gas in just three months. Overall, energy disputes dropped by 24% in 2024, but billing issues remain the most common problem.
