💨 Abstract
Brits travelling to Portugal this week can use e-gates for quicker airport entry. Due to an agreement made after Brexit, Portugal becomes the first EU country to offer UK passport holders this benefit. This should reduce long queues at passport control, which have been a problem since the UK left the EU. Around 2.5 million Brits visit the country annually, with significant numbers heading to the Algarve.
