💨 Abstract
Animal caretakers withthe San Diego Humane Society raise a 12-pound orphaned bear cub using bear costumes and a teddy-bear surrogate to prevent human bonding. They hope to return the cub, believed separated from and missing his mother, to the wild once it learns critical survival skills. Since its rescue the orphaned bear has quadrupled in size.
