💨 Abstract
Pet trackers help locate lost pets with GPS and cellular signals, relaying data to a smartphone app. These devices, typically worn as collars, allow owners to set safe zones and receive alerts if pets leave them. Small cats and energetic dogs, who can vanish through doors or fences, benefit significantly from this technology. While effective, these trackers don’t prevent pets from leaving designated areas. Subscription fees and battery management are considerations.
