💨 Abstract
In Mogadishu, camel milk is revolutionizing Somalia's agricultural sector. Farms like Beder Camel Farm are modernizing traditional camel herding by improving veterinary care, feed, and milking practices. This has doubled the milk yield per camel, meeting the growing urban demand. The farm produces yogurt, rich in nutrients and lactose-free, benefiting local consumers and creating jobs. The government supports this industry, aiming to develop the full value chain and upgrade traditional practices.
