💨 Abstract
In New Jersey, a minke whale died after a collision with a boat, which also threw a passenger overboard. The whale was seen struggling and later found dead on a sandbar. Marine authorities, hindered by tides and limited visibility, observed no obvious injuries at first. Reports and videos suggest the whale had prior injuries and multiple boat collisions. A necropsy is scheduled to determine the cause of death.
