💨 Abstract

The D.C. Council resumed hearings on a $3.7 billion proposal for a new stadium at the RFK Stadium site for the Washington Commanders. The council passed the 2026 budget, including $1 billion for the project. The team won't pay property taxes, but will pay taxes on sales. Public hearings are scheduled, with a vote expected on Friday, and a second vote on September 17.
