💨 Abstract
Multiple arrests at D.C. parks sparked public backlash. A TikTok user filmed plainclothes U.S. Park Police officers arresting a man for smoking marijuana in Logan Circle. Despite marijuana possession being legal in D.C., public consumption is prohibited in federally maintained parks. Four arrests were made in total—three for alcohol and one for marijuana—under an executive order aimed at enhancing safety. Since March, U.S. Park Police have made 468 arrests in the D.C
