💨 Abstract
The Justice Department accused The George Washington University (GWU) of ignoring antisemitism on campus, violating federal civil rights protections. The department found GWU "deliberately indifferent" to harassment against Jewish students. GWU's spokesperson condemned antisemitism and asserted the university's efforts to prevent it and address such incidents. The encampment during the 2024 Israel-Hamas conflict was the subject of the inquiry.
