💨 Abstract
An anti-corruption trial has begun in Dhaka, Bangladesh, involving former British MP Tulip Siddiq. She faces charges of using her familial ties to ex-PM Sheikh Hasina to obtain state land. Siddiq, tried in absentia, has previously denied these allegations as baseless and politically driven. The trial includes her mother, brother, and sister, who also face charges over the same land deals.
