💨 Abstract
Dozens of federal police and, for the first time in recent history, National Guard members were seen patrolling the streets of Washington, D.C., on Tuesday night. The Trump administration deployed 800 National Guard members to assist local law enforcement, prompting an uneasy partnership aimed at reducing crime. Federal authorities have the power to take over D.C.
