💨 Abstract
Maryland has implemented new math education standards. Meanwhile, in the District’s Northwest, two people escaped an overnight fire during sleep, thanks to a working smoke alarm. The blaze started on the second floor and attic of a home on the 4500 block of 44th Street. First responders were on scene from about 3 a.m., with no injuries reported.
