💨 Abstract
Columbia University agreed to pay over $220 million to settle a federal dispute. The payments conclude investigations over the school's management of antisemitism on campus during the Israel-Hamas war in October 2023. $200 million will be repaid over three years to restore federal research funding, while $21 million addresses employment discrimination claims. The university will also overhaul its student disciplinary process and adopt a new definition of antisemitism.
