💨 Abstract
The University of Michigan's Nichols Arboretum is famous for its peony garden, featuring historic varieties with vibrant colors and fragrances. Thousands visit annually to see the blooms, which peak unpredictably based on temperature. Recently, about 250 peonies were vandalized, with notes left referencing the Gaza conflict. The garden serves both as a tourist attraction and a research collection for academic studies.
