💨 Abstract
House Republicans introduced a non-binding resolution in response to calls for transparency in the Jeffrey Epstein sex trafficking case, essentially doing little to pressure the Justice Department. The move is seen as an attempt to balance their base's demands for more information with President Trump's dismissal of the matter. Democrats criticized the resolution, pushing their own, more forceful legislation. The resolution binds nowheres in pressuring the Trump administration into releasing more information, something the Democrats want.
