💨 Abstract
A member of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), Cristian Fernando Gutierrez-Ochoa, was sentenced to over 11 years in U.S. prison for money laundering. He was arrested in California after faking his death to evade capture. Gutierrez-Ochoa is the son-in-law of the cartel's leader, El Mencho. He was also wanted in Mexico for kidnapping two Navy members.
