💨 Abstract
The article reports that U.S. kindergarten vaccination rates decreased slightly last year, while the share of children with vaccine exemptions rose to 4.1%, primarily for nonmedical reasons. Only 92.5% of kindergartners received required measles-mumps-rubella shots, down from 95% before the COVID-19 pandemic. This decline coincides with the worst year for measles spread in over three decades.
