💨 Abstract
In 2025, President Trump plans to sign an executive order mandating that colleges report data to verify they don't consider race in admissions. This follows a 2023 Supreme Court ruling against affirmative action, but permitting consideration of race's impact on applicants' lives. The administration suspects universities use personal statements and other methods to indirectly consider race. The order resembles past agreements with Brown University and Columbia University, where the schools had to provide admissions data and undergo audits.
