💨 Abstract

After a heat wave, the D.C. area will see relief with potential flash flooding on Thursday. A cold front brings moderate to heavy rainfall, especially east of I-95, with a "moderate risk" for excessive rain and possible severe storms. Highs will reach around 90°F, but the heat index surpasses 95°F. On Friday, lingering showers and cooler temperatures in the 70s are expected.
