💨 Abstract

On the first Tuesday of August, various communities host "National Night Out" events to strengthen neighborhood ties and promote safety. These block parties, organized by local police departments, offer fun activities and free food. In the Takoma Park area, the event will feature games and shaved ice, with the street shut down for festivities from 6 PM to 9 PM near Piney Branch Elementary School. Similar events are scheduled across multiple counties and cities in the region.
