Metro has chosen Hines, a Houston-based developer, to lead a 13.9-acre mixed-use project at the North Bethesda Metro station. The development will feature the University of Maryland's new Institute of Health Computing and include life sciences and residential buildings. The project aims to advance AI and healthcare innovation. Metro and Hines will negotiate a joint development agreement, with no timeline yet established. Hines has a strong track record in the D.C.
