💨 Abstract
All 50 U.S. states agreed to Purdue Pharma's settlement plan for opioid lawsuits. The plan includes a vote by local governments and victims, with the Sackler family paying up to $7 billion over 15 years. If approved, the settlement will be one of the largest for the opioid epidemic, which has caused over 80,000 deaths in some years.
