💨 Abstract
Republican and Democratic members hold opposing views in the North Carolina General Assembly on the legalization of cannabis so far. However, North Carolina Governor Josh Stein addressed, via executive order this week, the necessity for regulated cannabis sales, even though lawmakers have yet to act for legalization. The order from Stein cites potential products being available to minors and unleveled cannabis production by industries, which could taint the moral marketability.
