In 2025, 26 men have been executed in the U.S., with 9 more scheduled. Florida, Alabama, Indiana, Missouri, Tennessee, Texas, and Utah have pending executions. Florida alone executed eight this year, including Michael B. Bell for a 1995 murder. Notable upcoming executions include Harold Nichols in Tennessee for a 1988 murder, and Geoffrey T. West and David Lee Roberts in Alabama by nitrogen gas.
