💨 Abstract
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is conducting hearings on the January midair collision between an Army Black Hawk helicopter and a passenger plane, which killed 67 people. On the first day, investigators discussed various factors that may have contributed to the crash, including helicopter traffic warnings the FAA received earlier. The collision occurred despite the safety of commercial flying, alarming officials. The Black Hawk helicopter exceeded the 200 feet altitude limit before the collision.
