đź’¨ Abstract
In July 2025, the state of New York settled a lawsuit brought by former aide Brittany Commisso against Andrew Cuomo, agreeing to pay $450,000. Commisso had sued Cuomo, alleging sexual harassment and retaliation. Cuomo, who denies any wrongdoing, resigned as governor in 2021 following numerous harassment claims. Consequently, the settlement comes as Cuomo refocuses on a major political comeback.
