The Trump administration has reversed plans to use federal waters for offshore wind energy development. Over 3.5 million acres previously designated for wind energy were rescinded. The administration has targeted renewable energy, favoring oil, gas, and coal. This move follows an executive order and is being challenged by attorneys general from 17 states.
