đź’¨ Abstract
The Wisconsin Legislature is set to pass a compromised state budget, requiring Democratic votes due to narrow Republican majorities. The agreement, reached between Governor Tony Evers and majority Republicans, includes income tax cuts for workers and retirees, eliminated sales taxes on residential electric bills, and increased fees for driver's licenses and vehicle registrations. It also provides more funding for special education, child care subsidies, and increases for the Universities of Wisconsin.
