💨 Abstract
The recent Gallup poll indicates that 53% of U.S. adults now believe that moderate alcohol consumption is harmful, a significant increase from 2015. This shift in perception is driven by younger adults, but older adults are also increasingly concerned. As a result, fewer Americans report drinking alcohol, with only 54% stating they consume alcoholic beverages, marking the lowest rate in three decades.
