💨 Abstract
A federal judge blocked the Trump administration's attempt to end Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for 60,000 people from Nepal, Honduras, and Nicaragua. The judge ruled that the administration did not adequately review conditions in these countries and that ending TPS would cause significant harm. The judge also criticized the administration's motives, suggesting racial animus. The protections remain in place while the case proceeds. The Trump administration has been aggressively seeking to remove TPS protections and other immigrant benefits.
