💨 Abstract

DuPont, Chemours, and Corteva will pay New Jersey up to $2 billion to settle PFAS, or "forever chemicals," contamination claims. The deal, the largest in state history, includes $875 million over 25 years and a $1.2 billion remediation fund. PFAS, used in various products, resist breaking down and accumulate in the environment and human bodies.
