💨 Abstract
Anna Wolfson and other allergy experts are calling for diphenhydramine, known as Benadryl, to be phased out due to its outdated nature and significant risks, especially for children and older adults. Diphenhydramine can cause drowsiness and missing worsening allergic symptoms. It can potentially lead to dangerous cognitive impairment and cardiac effects.
