💨 Abstract
The trial for the death of Argentine ex-football player Diego Armando Maradona will start from scratch. On 29th of May 2025, the criminal court leading the case for the past two months decided not to proceed. This follows the dismissal of judge Julieta Makintach, who was accused of potential bias (a claim she denied). On Thursday, it was decided to nullify the trial and form a new tribunal to retry the case.
