💨 Abstract
On June 1, 2025, at least 26 Palestinians were killed and over 80 injured near a U.S.-backed aid distribution center in southern Gaza after Israeli forces opened fire. The incident occurred as crowds gathered for food aid in Rafah. The Israeli and U.S.-supported Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) manages the site, which has faced criticism for allegedly increasing risks to Palestinians and violating humanitarian principles.
