💨 Abstract

Tropical Storm Erin, formed in the Atlantic on Monday, may become a hurricane by Friday. Located east of the Leeward Islands, moving west at 28 km/h, the storm could strengthen significantly over the weekend. The waters are unusually warm, providing fuel for intensification, potentially making Erin the first major hurricane of the 2025 season by Saturday night. The storm is being monitored by the Leeward Islands, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico.
