💨 Abstract
The U.S. Department of State has issued a travel alert for Mexico, citing varying levels of risk in nearly every state. Citizens are advised to avoid traveling to Colima, Guerrero, Michoacán, Sinaloa, Tamaulipas, and Zacatecas due to high violence and crime. Reconsideration is advised for travel to several other states, while caution is suggested for 16 additional states. Only Yucatán and Campeche are considered safe.
